Boardwren — project and task management
A concept project management workspace: kanban boards, milestones, team workload views and file attachments, sized for teams of five to twenty.

This is an illustrative concept study, not a client engagement. It describes a reference approach rather than delivered results.
Teams between five and twenty people sit in an awkward gap: too big for a shared to-do list, too small to administer heavyweight project tooling. Work slips because nobody maintains the system.
The challenge
Teams between five and twenty people sit in an awkward gap: too big for a shared to-do list, too small to administer heavyweight project tooling. Work slips because nobody maintains the system.
Our approach
Boardwren keeps three views — a board, a milestone timeline and a workload view — over one simple task model, so the tool stays useful without a part-time administrator.
Key features
- Kanban boards grouped by status or assignee
- Milestone timeline across the project
- Team workload and progress indicators
- File attachments and comments on tasks
The stack
React and TypeScript with a managed database; board ordering and permissions handled by server functions.
What this demonstrates
A project-tool pattern that stays maintainable for the teams who have no tool administrator.
