Morrow Kitchen — restaurant website
A concept website for a neighbourhood restaurant: seasonal menus, table booking prompts, opening information and a mobile-first layout built for people deciding where to eat tonight.

This is an illustrative concept study, not a client engagement. It describes a reference approach rather than delivered results.
Restaurant visitors decide fast and mostly on a phone. Menus buried in PDFs, missing opening hours and no clear booking action quietly cost covers every week. This concept focuses on the three things a diner needs: the food, the atmosphere and a way to book.
The challenge
Restaurant visitors decide fast and mostly on a phone. Menus buried in PDFs, missing opening hours and no clear booking action quietly cost covers every week. This concept focuses on the three things a diner needs: the food, the atmosphere and a way to book.
Our approach
The design leads with photography of the room and the food, keeps menu, hours and location one tap away, and places a booking prompt at every natural decision point. The layout is mobile-first because that is where restaurant traffic lives.
Key features
- Mobile-first menu pages with dietary markers
- Persistent book-a-table call to action
- Opening hours, location and contact block on every page
- Editable menu content so staff can update specials without a developer
The stack
React with server-side rendering for fast first loads on mobile networks, Tailwind CSS, and structured data for local search.
What this demonstrates
A restaurant site pattern that treats the phone as the primary device and turns menu browsing into bookings.
